Safetree

The objective of the SAFETREE (Satellite Support to Forest Fires Airborne Patrol) project, coordinated by Gisat, was to design, develop and verify an operational forest monitoring service in order to support forest fire danger assessment in the Czech Republic.

Dromas

Gisat has completed a its DROMAS project. Two types of services were created. They are intended to monitor the health of agricultural crops and provide management and decision-making support at the farm level. Performance of services will be evaluated in a follow-up project within next three years.

EOEUROPA

Gisat has provided the EO services to the EIB users in the frame of the joint ESA-EIB initiative EOEUROPE. Gisat’s support was focused on the Monitoring Progress of Large Cement Plant Construction in Derba, Ethiopia.

Small liner features

The objective of the project was to design, implement and test innovative remote sensing based services for SLF monitoring and demonstrate and validate their utility for the work of European Environmental Agency (EEA).

O3S

The project addressed the evaluation and demonstration of Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Web Services, in particular of areas where the Web Coverage Service (WCS) and the Web Map Service (WMS) technologies can bring benefits to satellite Earth Observation (EO) Payload Data Ground Segments (PDGS) and to users.

EOWORLD

The service created in this project is an instrument for assessing growth of built up areas in three megacities – Delhi, Mumbai and Dhaka in 1990, 2000 and 2010/2011. The project work also included in addition to processing of satellite images a creation of report evaluating the quantitative aspects of the identified changes and their spatial and temporal distribution.

Micro-accelerometers completed

Czech R&D specialists from the Aerospace Research and Test Establishment (VZLU) in Prague completed the very last piece of flight model of micro-accelerometer –special measurement device for ESA SWARM mission. Accelerometers will be moved to Germany for integration into satellites at EADS Astrium premises.

SOSI-CZ

The aim of the SOSI project was to demonstrate the use of Technology Service Support Environment (SSE) for the development of services offering access to distributed data sources and their mutual connections. The purpose of the SOSI-CZ was the implementation of the Czech national portal based on SSE technology.
