Secret mission

Atlas 5 rocket with mini space shuttle X-37B and ten cubes was lainched from the Florida spaceport Cape Canaveral in May 20, 2015. There are transponders on satellites PSat A and BRICSat-P that were developed, constructed and tested in the Experimental Satellites Labratory at Brno University of Technology.

CSO at the Amper event

Forty visitors of the international trade Amper 2014 gathered at a specialized seminar organized by Czech Space Office in cooperation with CzechInvest and ICT Alliance. The audience consisted mainly of representatives of ICT companies. CSO informed about opportunities in European space programmes focusing on telecommunications and navigation.

MOFINT

The objective of the project was to develop and experimentally validate propagation models and relevant input data for the statistical prediction of radio interference on ground terminals of satellite systems including the implementation of the models into a software tool.

TREFOTEL

The influence of the real tropospheric environment on the characteristics of both optical and radio terrestrial links was examined. The research was based on results of complex measurements of optical, radio and meteorological parameters.

IRIS / ANTARES

Iris is a multi-year program funded by the European Space Agency (ESA - ARTES 10). The objective of the Iris program is to design and develop new satellite communication systems for safety critical air/ground data and voice communication, enabling the future ATM (Air Traffic Management) concepts being defined by SESAR and NextGen.

ESPRIT

The aim of the ESPRIT project was to propose a preliminary satellite system design for UAS C2 (Command & Control) link and to develop a business case analysis from the UAS C2 service provider perspective, and an analysis of the operational concept of the satellite system.

SATCOM

The objective of the project Building Penetration Measurement and Modelling for Satellite Communications at L, S and C-Band was to address satellite-to-indoor propagation channel for future satellite services.

SISNeT

Signal in Space through the Internet (SISNeT) is name of technology that disseminates accurate navigation data from EGNOS system through the Internet. A new-generation data server which is the main pillar of the services has been developed, as well as the software called SBAS TeACHER who serves as a tool for SBAS messages editing.

EGNOS Edutools

The main objectives of the project were development of educational programmes, which nowadays help to easily understand EGNOS system and its principles and also functioning GNSS systems in general.
