Gamma ray station for remote onsite testing of spacecraft detectors
14. January 2015Spacecraft Payload Space Radiation Micro-Tracker
14. January 2015A customized lightweight and low-power radiation micro-tracker has been constructed for the satellite RISESAT (Rapid International Scientific Experiment Satellite) which will be launched in 2016. The micro-tracker is equipped with state-of-the-art hybrid semiconductor pixel detector technology developed by the Medipix Collaboration.

4. August 2014The digital slit sun sensor (DSSS) measures the position of the Sun with respect to its axes. It overcomes the disadvantages of the sun sensors used in the past, e.g. on Magion satellites, that were analogue cosine law sensors. This sensor mainly consists from COTS and industrial components and is therefore relatively cheap.
Gamma-ray calibration facility
3. August 2014Cosmic ray consists of many types of radiations and particles, the example is gamma-ray, which consists of energetic photons. The task of this project was to develop ESA’s reference station, on which would be possible to measure and calibrate the equipment prepared for spacecraft used for gamma-ray detection.
Neutron detector for space applications
3. August 2014Neutron facilities in the Czech republic
3. August 2014The project Neutron facilities focused on the evaluation of existing neutron sources in the Czech Republic with respect to preparation of the equipment for testing and calibration of neutron sensitive detectors of ESA. The main goal was to provide a comprehensive measurement, test and calibration of neutron sensitive devices intended for space research.
