Epoxy Core

The syntactic epoxy foam designed for use in space was developed in the Epoxy Core project. As part of the sandwich composites for launchers it significantly reduces its total weight. Saving material is crucial for this area. At the same time, the foam retains parameters defined in the project.

ANED-M

The project was focused on statistical fitting of model parameters to measurements, identification of worst case scenario and geometry optimisation and its goal was to propose a methodology for optimisation of nozzle extension geometry so as to minimise its weight and maximise its reliability with respect to the prescribed uncertain loading.

Polymeric liner

The goal of the project, which was run in close cooperation with EADS CASA, was to develop sufficiently effective barrier based on thermosetting polymers. It would be used on future generations of reusable launch vehicles in effort to reduce the overall vehicle weight.

In space propulsion - 1

The project In Space Propulsion -1 (ISP-1) dealt with themes of cryogenic rocket engines. Group under the leadership of Dr. Vojtěch Petrucha was responsible for sensor instrumentation for online and offline diagnostics of the propellant electric pump.

FLUTTER

The goal of the project was flutter assessment of jettisonable versatile thermal insulation panels of upper cryogenic stage of a launcher.
