Explore. Get to know. Change the world. These are the words, connecting all the high school participants of scientific and engineering competitions. Each year, millions of them in more than seven dozen countries around the world gets involved. A nineteen year old Marek Novák was one of them.
In June this year, the Czech student team from Prague Electroengineering High School in Ječná street took part in the fourth European competition in the construction and launch of functional CanSats. Of the more than 50 high shool teams from all over Europe, the nine best got to the final round.
On 22 April 2014, the nonprofit organization Suitcase Science (Věda z kufru) opened its new Student science center in Prague, the first of its kind in the Czech Republic. Center's activities are based on eduction of students in natural sciences by student teachers of the same age.

Prof. JUDr. Vladimír Kopal DrSc. passed away on 27 January 2014 at the ripe age of 85 years. He was a world and former Czechslovakia pioneer of international space law, who had became an icon tahnks to his long career at the United Nations and Czech academic environment.

Today at 11:24 first, complete data were received from three devices aboard the ESA Swarm satellites that come from the workbenches of the Aerospace Research and Test Establishment in Prague (VZLÚ). Their goal is to detect almost negligible accelerations of the orbiting satellites.

Dnes si připomínáme desetileté výročí! Nezisková organizace, kterou v listopadu 2003 založil Jan Kolář, se zasloužila o znovuvzkříšení českého kosmického výzkumu a napomohla ke vstupu České republiky do ESA. The Czech Space Office announced today the signing of an exclusive agreement with XCOR Aerospace. The agreement authorizes the CSO to become an Authorized Payload Integrator of XCOR’s Lynx®, a rocket-powered suborbital spacecraft currently being built at XCOR’s headquarters in Mojave, California.
