Try out weightlessness
4. October 2011Czech student Stanislav Fort will try astronauts’ feelings of weightlessness during his parabolic flight Zero-G onboard a specially designed Boeing airplane. The flight is taking place on the October 8th during the closing ceremony of the international student project “Youth Inspiration Program 2011” in Las Vegas.
Micro-accelerometers completed
23. August 2011Czech R&D specialists from the Aerospace Research and Test Establishment (VZLU) in Prague completed the very last piece of flight model of micro-accelerometer –special measurement device for ESA SWARM mission. Accelerometers will be moved to Germany for integration into satellites at EADS Astrium premises.

Jan Kolář, PhD. yesterday received an award for lifetime contribution to Czech space from the Subcommittee of the Economic Chamber of Deputies, Parliament of the Czech Republic. He was the only winner in astronautics, the other winners were from the field of aviation.

It happened 10th November 2010, when an agreement was signed between the representatives of the Czech chemical company SYNPO and Spanish company EADS CASA Espacio.

September 2010Young Czech architect Tomáš Rousek has created for the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA a new spacecraft design with artificial gravity for a mission to an asteroid. Draft of the rotating spacecraft was awarded as the most outstanding innovation conference in August at the "Explore NOW", which was organized by NASA.
