The GRID project has demonstrated the effective use of Grid technologies for processing of radar data from satellites Envisat ASAR sensor. This was achieved by porting of miscellaneous SAR data handling SW packages to Grid and by development of related high level SAR-based functionality available to users through the “Grid Processing-On-Demand” (G-POD) web portal.

There was created amount of mapping products, which are used in the countries of the African continent, the Middle East and Asia.

GSE Land is a project of Europian satellite monitoring, which is preparing the conditions for the operation of GMES Land Monitoring Core Service. The output map products are based on a combination of satellite imagery and other auxiliary data. The outputs are used for example in agriculture and soil protection or urban planning.
