DSSS

The digital slit sun sensor (DSSS) measures the position of the Sun with respect to its axes. It overcomes the disadvantages of the sun sensors used in the past, e.g. on Magion satellites, that were analogue cosine law sensors. This sensor mainly consists from COTS and industrial components and is therefore relatively cheap.

Gamma-ray calibration facility

Cosmic ray consists of many types of radiations and particles, the example is gamma-ray, which consists of energetic photons. The task of this project was to develop ESA’s reference station, on which would be possible to measure and calibrate the equipment prepared for spacecraft used for gamma-ray detection.
