Sentinel-2: SPECTRA
22. September 2010The main goal of the Sentinel-2: SPECTRA project was to design and test the operational algorithm for quantitative estimation of the green foliar pigments in canopies of Norway Spruce stands from spectral image data of satellite instrument CHRIS and future Sentinel-2 missions. The experiment in the mountainous region of the Czech Republic helped to design a new procedure for retrieving precise data on the health of spruce forests.

17. September 2010The GRID project has demonstrated the effective use of Grid technologies for processing of radar data from satellites Envisat ASAR sensor. This was achieved by porting of miscellaneous SAR data handling SW packages to Grid and by development of related high level SAR-based functionality available to users through the “Grid Processing-On-Demand” (G-POD) web portal.
GSE RESPOND

September 2010The purpose of the GSE RESPOND project is to support the effective international humanitarian aid in areas affected by natural disasters and other emergencies with the help of suitable and reliable maps and satellite images. There was created amount of mapping products, which are used in the countries of the African continent, the Middle East and Asia.

17. September 2009GSE Land is a project of Europian satellite monitoring, which is preparing the conditions for the operation of GMES Land Monitoring Core Service. The output map products are based on a combination of satellite imagery and other auxiliary data. The outputs are used for example in agriculture and soil protection or urban planning.
První velký kontrakt s ESA
7. March 2008Aerospace Research and Test Establishment (VZLÚ, a. s.) has concluded a contract with a company “EADS Astrium” to create one testing and three fully flight-capable pieces of microaccelerometers for a ESA’s scientific mission called Swarm. It is the first big equipment-supply contract of a Czech firm for the ESA probes. Apart from the VZLÚ, other fourteen Czech organizations are going to take part.
