ARTES 20 Workshop was hold in Prague

ARTES 20 (aka IAP, Integrated Application Promotion) Workshop was organised by European Space Agency, ESA, together with Czech Space Office, Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports on 28 June 2010 in Prague. The Workshop was dedicated to themes „Health“ and „Transport“ and was attended by more than 25 participants from Czech companies and institutions.

In the morning section, experts from ESA - Amnon Ginati, Pierluigi Mancini and Gerald Braun - presented not only basic information about the ARTES 20 element, but also project proposal requirements, financial aspects and couple of project examples. Section was then completed by presentation from Erich Klock, European Space Policy Institute, about Ambassador Platform for Integrated Applications Promotion (IAP) in Central & Eastern European Region (APCEE), which should help IAP programme in spreading awareness for potential stakeholders in ESA’s IAP programme, in the above mentioned region.

The afternoon session was divided into two parallel sections, dedicated to themes "Health" and "Transport". Czech companies and institutions introduced various possible project proposals themes and/or its potential in area of integrated applications. 16 presentations were presented in both sections in total, followed by interesting debates on topics touched upon. Participants also used all the remaining time for individual consultations with ESA experts.
