CITT stands for Centre for Innovation and Transfer of Technology. The goal of the CITT Praha project was creation of a research and information centre for innovative technologies, focusing mainly on perspective technologies and products related to future european satellite system Galileo.

Under the CITT Prague project was investigated navigation signal propagation in city enviromental, signal reception by terminals on the Earth surface and its representation in map layers. Another research was done dealing with signal propagation back to the satellites. The results of the research executed can be used in the following areas:

  • real-time position and movement determination of fire brigade, police and emergency units
  • real-time fleet management of dangerous goods and nuclear waste transportation
  • public transportation optimalisation and management
  • electronic car tolling of states, regions or even cities
  • real-time monitoring of disabled and diseased persons - alert to propriate institution in case of emergency
  • urbanism - development environmental impact monitoring
  • environmental monitoring - measuring, evaluating and comparing defined parameters
CITT Prague was an unique centre for innovation not only for Prague but even for the Czech Republic. It´s uniqueness was based on involvement of institutions and companies, which belong to the top research entities in their field of specialization. Praugue fully utilised its potencial and became a notable member of european network of space technology centers.

Projekt CITT Prague was succesfully finished in October 2006.
