Science and research

1. CLUSTER II - PI: Institute of Atmospheric Physics ASCR
   Development of a device and a numerical model and for research into interactions of Solar wind with a planet's magnetosphere for satellites Cluster II and BepiColombo.
2. INTEGRAL - PI: Astronomical Institute ASCR
   The Czech participation in the INTERGRAL satellite scientific data analysis and in the Optical Monitoring Camera INTEGRAL on-board experiment operation and science.
3. SOHO - PI: Astronomical Institute ASCR
   Studies of the Solar atmosphere, flares, loops and Solar corona by utilization of the extensive archive of SOHO satellite data and analysis of spectra and spectral images os selected events.
4. WAVES - PI: Institute of Atmospheric Physics ASCR
   Investigation of wave processes in the Earth magnetosphere at its border and in solar wind by utilizing data from ESA projects CLUSTER and DOUBLE STAR.
5. PROBA-2-TPMU - PI: Institute of Atmospheric Physics ASCR
   Development and building of the Thermal Plasma Measurement Unit for the PROBA-2 satellite with the aim of studying the thermal plasma parameters crucial for the electromagnetic waves propagation in the upper ionosphere.
6. PROBA-2-DSLP - PI: Institute of Atmospheric Physics ASCR
   Design and development of two Dual Segmented Langmuir Probes and related Data Processing Unit for PROBA-2 satellite, which aim at studying the basic parameters of space plasma.
7. Bepi Colombo I - PI: Faculty of Mathematics and Physics CU
   Development of a 3D kinetic model of interaction of space plasma with a planet's magnetosphere for calibration of BepiColombo mission Mercury Electron Analyser.
8. Bepi Colombo II - PI: Astronomical Institute ASCR
   Colaboration on estimating values of observables expected in the Mercury’s environment during the operational phase of BepiColombo, benefiting from access to NASA MESSENGER data.
9. X-ray Observation XMM - PI: Astronomical Institute ASCR
   Scientific analysis and interpretation of X-ray spectra of accreting black holes in active galactic nuclei and galactic black holes observed by XMM-Newton mission.
10. DOBIES - PI: Nuclear Physics Institute ASCR
    Development of a standard dosimetric method (as a combination of different techniques) to measure accurately the absorbed doses and equivalent doses in biological samples for further use in biological experiments in space
11. GAIA - PI: Astronomical Institute ASCR
    Ground-based observation and analysis of selected target objects in the frame of Gaia mission in pre- and post-launch time, creating catalogue of known and suspected Be stars and participation in the Gaia CU7 Data Processing Centre.
12. GOCE - PI: Astronomical Institute ASCR
    Research in several areas using the GOCE mission data, such as: orbit choice and tunning for GOCE measuring phases, novel geodetic computational methodologies, comparison of detailed satellite and terrestrial data and detection of hidden impact meteoritic structures on the Earth surface.

Earth Observation

1. Sentinel 2: SPECTRA - PI: Institute of Systems Biology and Ecology ASCR
   Spectral-spatial scaling from leaf to forest level by using spectral and directional approach as a support for exploitation of hyperspectral scanner on-board Sentinel 2.
2. GSE Land - PI: Gisat
   Development of methods for different land-use and land-cover mapping from Earth observation satellite images with focus on Elbe, Morava and Oder river catchment.
3. RESPOND – PI: Gisat
   Development of geo-informational services for Czech humanitarian aid users (Adra, People in need) in the frame of ESA GSE Respond project.
4. IIM-TS2 – PI: Iguassu Software Systems
   Extension of activities commenced in the IIM-TS project.
5. SWARM – PI: Aeronautical Research and Test Institute
   Support for building of the Czech space knowledge infrastructure with focus on activities crucial for successful delivery of three micro-accelerometers for ESA SWARM satellite.
6. FLOREO - PI: SPRINX Systems
   Development of geo-information service in field of flood risk mapping by utilizing the existing ESA Earth observation ground segment infrastructures with focus on Service Support Environment.
7. SOSI CZ - PI: ANF Data
   Czech participation in ESA SOSI project with the aim to implement the satellite imagery dissemination service (including data archiving and cataloguing) within the context of the European Shared Environmental Information System (SEIS).

Industrial Technologies

1. X-Ray Optics - PI: Reflex s.r.o./Rigaku Innovative Technologies Europe, s.r.o.
   The development of new advanced technologies for future X-ray astrophysics missions of ESA with focus on for large, precise and light-weight mirror shells.
2. DTL/DML - PI: ANF Data, a.s.
   Mission Control System (MCS) Demonstrator. The objective is to verify the new EGOS (ESA Ground Operations S/W) libraries, namely DTL (Data Transfer Library) and DML (Data Management Library), within a mission control system.

Telecommunications and Navigation

1. Satcom - PI: Faculty of Electrical Engineering, CTU
   The main goal of the project is building penetration measurement and modelling for satellite communications at L, S and C-band, using an airship as a carrier of transmitters.
